2015 Cannes Film Festival Lineup!

The official poster for this year’s Cannes Film Festival (via Variety)

The current lineup for the 2015 Cannes Film Festival was revealed earlier today.

The biggest Oscar players here, I imagine, are Todd Haynes’ Carol and Woody Allen’s Irrational Man. Justin Kurzel’s Macbeth and Gus Van Sant’s Sea of Trees may come out of the fest strong, too; the latter still needs U.S. distribution.

But we may be in for some surprises. Pete Docter and Ronaldo Del Carmen’s Inside Out may mark Disney-Pixar’s return to major Oscar contention. And the inclusion of Denis Villeneuve’s crime drama Sicario is fascinating – maybe there’s more to this Emily Blunt-led flick than the synopsis suggests?

Remember, we should hear about more films bound for Cannes before the fest actually begins on May 13. I will update this post when as more announcements are made. But for now, here’s the current roster:
