Why? Oscar loves when straight actors play GSMs (gender sex minorities). With one nomination under her belt, Mara could win an Oscar for her turn as a woman in love…

Why not? But category placement for Mara and co-lead Cate Blanchett is such a mess right now – don’t expect to hear the final word on it until after Truth debuts at Toronto this month. Mara’s performance is subtle, which hardly helps with a group that often sees bigger acting as better acting.
