Why not? Awards season didn’t quite remember TFIOS – and that book was a cultural phenomenon. Are we expecting Me Before You to be an exception to the rule? Warner Bros. already seems to have films like Sully, Collateral Beauty, and *shudders* The Accountant lined up for awards campaigns; will they even bother with Me Before You?
