Why? Maleficent became the highest-grossing film of Jolie’s career, and she picked up great review for her work in this new vision of Sleeping Beauty (1959). She’ll hit the trail for her directorial effort Unbroken; if it’s Jolie’s year, she can get in for this if Disney campaigns her and the film…

Why not? But will Disney bother to push Maleficent for anything? The Mouse House will throw most – if not all – of its weight behind a campaign for Rob Marshall’s Into the Woods. Critics seemed to be split down the middle when it came to Maleficent itself.

Ranking: No. 20 as of Sept. 12, 2014
