Role: Claire Simmons, who’s fascinated by the suicide of a woman in her chronic-pain support group
- Toronto International Film Festival (2014) – World Premiere
Why? Aniston de-glams and shifts to serious drama in Cake, and many at TIFF raved about her performance. She might get bonus points for Horrible Bosses 2 – she was one of the few bright spots of the first film – if it’s a hit and gets decent reviews.
Why not? Her acting came across as ACTING!!! to some, and her previous film endeavors don’t give her much of a cause. The distributor is small and new to the game.
Ranking: No. 9 as of Nov. 17, 2014
