Why? The unexpected awards love for Bridesmaids (2011) suggests that Wiig has some supporters in the industry. She might have an impressive body of work to support an Oscar campaign between this, Sundance hit The Skeleton Twins, and dramedy Welcome to Me; a serious drama might be what it takes to get Wiig her first acting bid.

Why not? With this production still as the only proof of this film’s existence, I feel safe saying that we won’t see this film in any capacity until some time next year.
